How has every difficulty been craft purposely for your race?

Updated: Apr 6, 2022

Perhaps like many people, you may say- I’m not a runner. But, regardless of our sports preferences, we all humans need to run in a race. In many instances, the Bible points out that we are here to face a race. Like on this account from the first book of Corinthians, chapter 9 verses 24- 27, “Don’t you know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run like that, that you may win. Every man who strives in the games exercises self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible. I therefore run like that, not aimlessly. I fight like that, not beating the air, but I beat my body and bring it into submission, lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected.”

Yes, it may not be your preference, even though you and I need to run in this race. After the pandemic season and now, we are getting to reestablish our activities, and probably more than ever, you ask yourself. What do I need to do to move forward from this path? And thinking and saying to yourself– “I feel like, at a crossroads, a little bit lost and hesitant. I don’t know how to get traction. What to do? Where to go?” As a Life Coach and former Counselor, I can attest that if you have not been around people who nurtured, encouraged, or believed in you and your potential now, you may feel even more confused. You might start to doubt yourself by rehearsing what most people have told you repeatedly until it becomes like your song in the morning, at lunch, and even in your dreams.

Probably, you want to move forward successfully. You may feel stuck and longing for new beginnings, yearning for more. In some cases, like the woman with a wounded heart who has been in therapy, groups through many tools and assessments, and feels a bit lost, she is unsure of her next move. She has probably received many strikes even from childhood. Or emotional wounds from experiences like rejection, neglect, divorce, abusive relationships, belittling, or overlooked and denied opportunities for victory, like in your personal life, career, or education. With the respect you deserve, let me tell you that your disappointments, mishaps, struggles, defeats, and discouragement are the pieces you need to organize together. It would be best to have someone who can understand you and your demeanors to move forward with confidence. God wants to transform you, including how you treat your body, soul-mind, and spirit, and overcome every difficulty you face. Why? Because if you decide to walk like He wants you to walk as His child, victory is your future. Great news! What do you think?

Second Corinthians 2:14 tells us, “Now thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and reveals through us the sweet aroma of his knowledge in every place.” Here is the caveat, you and I need to walk according to His precepts which are not complicated. They are like insurance, an umbrella or a coat, to protect us. After you do what you need to do to be in right standing with Him as your Creator, Father, and Architect of your life and reconcile your relationship with Him by asking Him forgiveness with a sincere heart, He does it. And also, with your neighbor, we cannot progress in our lives if we harbor any seed that does not reflect any love. Remember the two greatest commandments to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and your neighbor as you love yourself. For reference, in the Old and New Testament in Mark 12:30-31.

Here in Crowns Ministries, I can lend an ear to explore with you your next steps. You are valuable and exceptional. One of the reasons you are still here is that your story has another purpose and would help you and others. Coaching can help you rediscover who you are, your values, and your dreams and live an authentic and confident life. The race is better when we do it with someone else to assist us in following through. God did not design us to do life alone. We need community and the pandemic season brought that to the light.

What about making a difference in your life? You would need to become prepared. By having an intentional attitude of learning and readiness to face whatever you may encounter. Let me assist you in identifying, contemplating, and conquering what has been interfering with your growth, and contact me to schedule an appointment at info@crownsministries.org. Schedule a discovery session with us. We will cover the first 30 minutes. How much would it cost you by daring to be different?

Respectfully, María Díaz
